| I actually didn't even notice they buffed MT. But with only 3 points in it, I don't think it'd be better than Potent Venom. IIRC, in MT's current state (6% for 10%) it's about a 3% damage increase. So it might be slightly better, but the mana cost reduction and consistent damage from Potent Venom makes it more appealing to me.
Obviously there's some tweaks you could make to it due to personal preferences. That's just what I'd do based on the information we have now.

so, i need to figure out how much ap is in the lvl 80 aoth. if its not like, way more, aspect mastery sucks. fortunately, there's an easy 51 points in bm w/o aspect mastery. Also with the insane crit rate pets are going to have, prolly could drop to 3/5 frenzy w/o noticing much of a difference. Also, i kinda see invigoration making mana a non issue, so could prolly do something like
49-17-5 if exotic pets aren't that cool and you need imp mark then just get careful aim instead if you don't need imp mark cause someone else has it or its not for raiding.
steal a point from somewhere to get another point in frenzy and the 51 point talent if there are acutally useful exotic pets.

300 AP for AotH. pretty good.
blizz has said that the real power of the 51 BM is the 5 talent points for your pet. seeing the pet talents, this seems like it could very well be true as the top tier could be pretty powerful. though im not convinced i'd want more than 1 top tier currently, as theyre not very well balanced at this point. the exotic pets will have different trained "family" abilities than normal pets but they won't necessarily be more powerful.
on a side note, crabs look mega powerful for pvp.

| man pet talents...tenacity pets with blood of the rhino (+40% healing to pet from all sources) and roar of sacrifice (pet takes the target's dmg for 12 secs, up to half of its max HP. 3 sec cd.) will be awesome for pvp. Mend pet will keep the pet alive while it takes a good portion of your (or a friend's) dmg.
though roar of sacrifice will get nerfed i think. probably a longer cd. preventing an average of 7000 dmg every 15 secs (based off how much you can heal with mend pet; its more if you have a healer to heal your pet) to any target is unbelievably nuts.

| Yuumy. The changes to tranq, serpent sting, chimera all sound great.
- We plan to give all pets the master's +hit%.
- The mana cost of new ranks is not just an issue for Hunters. We're looking at lowering the mana cost of all new ranks among all classes. We also intend to do some improvements to Aspect of the Viper. Not to mention mana return mechanics in each of the tree's (Invigoration, Rapid Recuperation, Hunting Party etc.)
- We'll be doing some improvements to Chimera Shot. We'll experiement with it refreshing the duration of the sting instead of consuming, and adding some base damage to the shot as well. It should act as an Arcane Shot replacement, doing significantly more damage (especially if serpent sting is on the target).
- Regarding Serpent Sting, we'll bump the damage bonus you get from this effect up. We also want to make Serpent Sting more usable for Hunters.
- Tranq Shot will soon be able to dispel enrage mechanics (i.e. Warrior Enrage, Rogue's Hunger For Blood, etc.). It should also be able to dispel Druids' "Owlkin Frenzy" effect. Also going to lower the cooldown.
- In addition, Tranq Shot will also be able to dispel magic effects, and we're removing that from Arcane Shot.
- Explosive Shot is intended to be three shots in one cast. Imagine Arcane Missiles, but not having to channel it. The spell isn't quite there yet, we're still not sure if it needs the AOE or not. It's not intended to really be AOE utility.
- We haven't given up hope of fixing up your existing low-level pets.

| We definitely do want to make traps more usable. We've discussed a lot of different options over the years (including throwing your traps, having them turn into shots etc.) but in the end we feel we'd like to retain the unique gameplay of traps, and improve them without re-designing what traps really are.
Some changes we are working on:
- Distracting Shot will now be a "Mocking Blow"-esque taunt (so it will taunt the mob onto the Hunter for 6 sec). This will allow you to "peel" monsters to you (and thus to a trap) a lot easier than it is now.
- Freezing Trap will no longer break on damage 100% of the time. It will still break on damage, but on x amount. So if the mob has a DoT on them, or the mob gets cleaved while in Freezing Trap, it won't just immediately break. Because of this, we're canning Bear Trap (since Freezing Trap will accomplish what Bear Trap was intended for, plus you guys have enough keybinds as it is). Note that we don't intend Freezing Trap to be a stun, so the tuning on how much damage will break it will be important.
- Camouflage - We'll be introducing this new spell at level 80. It will give you limited stealth capabilities. A bonus with it is that you can lay your traps while Camouflaged and it won't break the stealth, allowing you to setup your traps before a pull if desired.
- Trap Mastery - This talent will be a 1-point talent now, we've condensed a lot of the trap talents in the Survival tree. It will do stuff like increase damage of Immolate, root the dispeller of your Freezing Trap in ice, increase the number of snakes from your snake trap, etc.
