| | I know!!! Stuff like 53-18-0 could be really interesting. Course it's probably better to use frostfire bolt and be 53-10-8. Still - it makes going into fire better for a pve frost mage than going into arcane. http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=oZfVMoM0hZVIccofu0f0gfsx Gives ignite to free fireballs when you're doing frost, gives better scaling to frostfire bolt when you have to use it. some minor buffs to cone of cold and blizzard too

| | Do you really need a bunch of threat reduction talents with invisibility? I know if I time my shatter's right I can pretty much be fine on threat for most fights (except really short ones). I'd think if the tank is around 100-150k threat and you invis, you should probably be okay. |

| | you can probably skip the fire one and get 2% more crit on blizzard and 2/2 range for flamestrike/fireball proc. Frost channeling is 10% reduced mana costs for frost spells for 3 points - that's pretty good just for that. edit: the problem with all of the dumb threat talents is threat is tied to something you want.

| | Something encouraging: this guy reported 1900 dps on Dr. Boom with an Arcane Blast + Barrage w/Missiles rotation on the PTR. Yeah... so I think my table math of an average of ~2260 dps in a raid situation without use of heroism/drums/arcane power+head heax is fairly accurate (though I'll be doing Fireball + Barrage w/ missiles - 4 pc T6 is so huge)

| | So I did some messing around with arcane power just to see what the numbers might be if I time things properly. Time things properly? - that means hit "bring the boom" macro when I've got a missile barrage proc up (you have 10s to cast Arc missiles) So - yeah - the amount of damage mathron could put out it disgusting. 18s of arcane power (glyphed) 18*1.16 = 20.88s of base cast time arcane power. General sequence: POM+fireball, Missile barraged arcane missiles, arcane barrage, fireball, arcane barrage, fireball, arcane barrage, fireball, arcane barrage (that's 19 seconds) The first two spells of the sequence will be ungodly averaging about 8600 damage and 9600 damage. So the dps for the entire arcane power sequence is going to be on the order of 3450 dps average. Um....problem: Note: casting 4 arcane barrages over 2 fireballs is more than 675 more dps than spamming fireball. I think 53-8-0 would be better. Bah....gonna have to compare that.
